That won’t be much different than the situation that exists now. Automation tools like Sit and Go Shark only work on sites that have created a special interface for connecting to the program. The list of approved sites is relatively short compared to the number of sites that are not authorized.

Perhaps when all of the commotion is over, the decision by PokerStars to pull its support of independent chip model calculators will be nothing more than an insignificant event that will have no affect on the future of sit and go software.
