Sit n Go Strategy – Hold em Tips
Texas hold em is an easy game to learn, but it’s difficult to master. Here are some winning hold em tips to follow:
Pre-Flop
In Any Position:
· Raise with A-A, K-K or A-K suited.
· Call with A-K, A-Q suited, K-Q suited, or Q-Q, J-J, or T-T.
· If you are holding anything else, fol
In Middle Position:
· Call if you are holding 9-9, 8-8, A-J suited, A-T suited, Q-J suited, A-Q, or K-Q.
In Late Position
· Call with A suited with any card, K-T suited, Q-T suited, J-T suited, A-J, A-T or any pairs.
The Flop
A good hold em tip to remember is by the time you reach the flop, 71% of the hand has been dealt. Use these 3 hold em tips:
· If don’t have a decent hand now, only blind luck will save you. Fold.
· Not holding a top pair or better, and you’re not close to closing a straight or flush? Fold.
· If you’re in a late position playing a weak pair from the beginning, get out if there’s a bet. Otherwise call and watch.
The Turn
· If you’re proud of what you’re holding after the turn, bet. Resist the temptation to check/raise because you might not get the chance.
· If you’re only holding a pair, and the other players are raising, fold and save your money for the next game.
The River
If you’re looking at your river card then you must have a pretty good hand going on. Otherwise you would have folded. Follow these hold em tips:
· Now you can see your complete hand. If you didn’t make your hand, and you’re not experienced enough to bluff, fold. Save the bluffing until you’ve developed your skills. More experienced players will catch you and drain your bankroll dry.
· If you’re proud of your hand, and you’re first to act, place a bet. Once again, don’t look for a chance to check/raise. Any player who folds after your bet would have checked if you had, so you didn’t lose anything.
· If you aren’t sure you have the top hand, and you’re first to act, check and watch the other players closely. If you sense weakness, and there’s a bet, you can always raise.
There’s a lot more to learn along the way, but you’ll win plenty of hands if you practice all of these winning hold em tips.
